According to reports in Italy, Manchester United have indeed made a bid for Douglas Costa. The Juventus star has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, and now, it appears as if things have been taken to the next level.
The 28 year old made the permanent switch from Bayern Munich to Juventus earlier this year, but he hasn’t quite had the kind of consistent success that would make Juve desperate to keep hold of him.
It would seem as if the post-Mourinho era will begin with a series of new faces coming into Old Trafford – at least, if you believe the rumour mill. United have had a series of hit and miss stars coming through the doors over the course of the last few years, and now, it feels as if some stability is in order.
Under their new manager United are off to a winning start, but we’ll have to wait and see whether or not it’ll last.
