Man United open to van de Beek sale

According to a recent report from Football Insider, Manchester United are open to the idea of selling Donny van de Beek.

Ever since arriving at Old Trafford, things haven’t exactly gone swimmingly for Donny van de Beek. The midfielder was seen as the perfect option to sign, bringing some much needed stability for the Red Devils in the middle of the park. However, between managerial choices, drops in form and injuries, things just haven’t quite gone to plan.

While he should still be seen as a valuable asset, the likes of Christian Eriksen and Casemiro have been able to come in and fill the void that he was never really able to fill himself. The report in question suggests that a return to Ajax is most likely, providing they are able to stump up £25 million in order to make it happen.

Erik ten Hag clearly respects him, but it just hasn’t been a good fit up to this point.
