Slovakia defender Milan Skriniar is said to be edging closer to signing a new deal with the Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan.
Skriniar has made a strong impression for Nerazzurri during his maiden season at Giuseppe Meazza with his performances drawing plenty of attention, most notably from Manchester United.
The Red Devils attempted to sign the 23-year-old centre-back last year but their approach has been rebuffed and Inter Milan are now ready to show their belief in the player by tying him to a new and improved contract.
The Italian media are reporting that Skriniar’s representatives are looking to get a deal worth €3 million per season, which is slightly below the amount Inter Milan are willing to offer.
Certain reports have it that Manchester City have also expressed interest in Slovakia defender, whose current deal with Inter Milan expires in 2022.
Skriniar joined Inter Milan in 2017 and has thus far made 43 Serie A appearances for the Nerazzuri.
