Manchester United have reportedly opened talks with Galatasaray over a winter move for the talented teenage defender Ozan Kabak, according to a report in Daily Mail.
Despite only making his debut earlier this season, the 18-year-old centre-back has been quick to establish himself as a first-team regular under Fatih Terim and Manchester United are now said to be eyeing a potential January deal.
Ozan Kabak is valued at around £20 million but is on a £6.7 million release clause which would allow Manchester United to get a cut-price deal for the Galatasaray talent.
Talks between the two clubs have already begun over a possible transfer with Galatasaray said to be open to agreeing on a fee with the Red Devils.
The emerging potential of the young Galatasaray defender has alarmed a host of other clubs, however, and Manchester City are also said to be looking into a possibility to sign the teenager.
Manchester United have been looking to make defensive reinforcements for quite some time but with Jose Mourinho leaving the club it remains to be seen whether the club hierarchy would continue to actively pursue January additions.
