Manchester United maintain a strong interest in Juventus defender Gleison Bremer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, and a swap deal involving Mason Greenwood could be on the cards over the summer.
It’s not reasonable to expect Greenwood, currently on loan at Getafe, to have a future at Old Trafford, not after all the problems he’s had in his private life. His contract with United expires in 2025, and a permanent departure from the club is probably the best option for both parties.
Such an outcome would potentially suit Juventus as well – the Bianconeri have been credited with interest in the 22-year-old forward. Bremer is thought to be worth around €60-70m to the Serie A giants, and Greenwood going the other way would obviously reduce the amount of money United would have to pay for the services of the Brazil international.
The 20-time English champions have apparently taken the first steps already.
