Premier League giants Manchester United were many people’s favourites to win this season’s title, but, like the rest of the league, they have been well and truly humiliated by Manchester City at the halfway point in the campaign. The Cityzens currently lead United by 12, and have a game in hand.
With this in mind it is little surprise that Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho wants to make a big statement in January, and the addition of Juventus superstar Paulo Dybala would certainly do just that.
According to the Metro, United would have to pay over £60m for the Argentinian international, and the figure may end up being a lot higher than that.
Dybala has bagged 12 goals already this season, having only scored 11 times in the previous campaign. At just 24-years of age, the versatile forward has established himself as one of the most exciting young players in Europe.
With his nationality and dazzling left foot earning Dybala some comparisons to the legendary Lionel Messi, the star has a lot to live up to. A move to Manchester would certainly give the player a brilliant new challenge, and it would be intriguing to see how he would he would fare in the English top flight.
