According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Manchester United are more than willing to offer Tottenham Hotspur a player swap deal for Christian Eriksen in order to try and secure a deal for the Dane during the January transfer window. Eriksen has made it clear to Tottenham that he is not interested in signing any sort of new deal when his contract comes to an end during the summer transfer window.
The belief is that he will be heading abroad with Real Madrid being very interested, but that’s not necessarily a guarantee. United have made it known that they want to put forward some kind of bid, and now, the details of the bid could be coming to light.
The player that could be included in the swap deal is Nemanja Matic who has failed to set the world on fire since arriving at Old Trafford. With that being said, Mourinho has history with Matic and could get him playing well once again.
