Manchester United still do not know how are they going to improve their defence this coming summer, but they seem to know how they could earn some money on their defensive players. You are guessing correctly, it is all about Chris Smalling.
The English centre-back had not been doing well enough for Man United for a few seasons and last summer it became obvious he would not be staying at Old Trafford. In the end he left the club on a season-long deal to make a move to Italy, where he signed with AS Roma. After impressing so far this season in Serie A, Roma became more and more open to the idea of signing him permanently.
But now, according to the Express, Manchester United have increased their asking price for former England international. Roma are not happy with that move and the Devils feel they could get the best out of Smalling’s good performances this season.
