Manchester United have asked to be kept in the loop about offers for Lille OSC defender Gabriel Magalhaes, according to the Daily Record.
The 22-year-old Brazilian has attracted attention from all over, with the likes of Napoli, Inter Milan, Everton and Paris Saint-Germain all believed to be interested in his services. The report suggests Napoli see him as a good replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly, with the Senegal international made available for €75 million and apparently wanted by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola. The Serie A side are ‘understood’ to have already agreed personal terms with the player.
On the other hand, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is on the hunt for a left-footed centre-back and is considering a swoop for Gabriel to partner captain Harry Maguire in the heart of his defence.
Lille are believed to be holding out for a fee in the region of €25m, meaning Gabriel would represent a significantly lower investment and more of a future prospect than the 29-year-old Koulibaly.
