According to Marca, Manchester United are extremely eager to keep hold of forward Anthony Martial. Despite many rumours suggesting that the Frenchman would be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer, it seems as if The Red Devils have had a change of heart and want to ensure that the 22-year-old continues his development under the guidance of Jose Mourinho as opposed to elsewhere.
The main club who have been sniffing around is Tottenham Hotspur, who have shown interest in Martial many times over the last twelve months and beyond. However, courtesy of United’s desire to keep him, they may end up slapping a €113 million price tag on the youngster to try and scare Spurs away.
Martial first moved to England back in 2015, and initially, it seemed like he could become the next big thing in the Premier League. Alas, over time he dropped off, and you’d have to imagine that he’ll need to be guaranteed more playing time if he’s going to remain at the club.
