Manchester United will not pay as much as Borussia Dortmund demand for the services of Jadon Sancho, according to Sky Sports.
United are one of the top clubs across Europe which have been closely monitoring the winger and his situation in Germany – his quality performances on the attacking flank for the Bundesliga runners-up have attracted the eyes of many. Liverpool were another, but manager Jurgen Klopp downplayed those rumours severely a few days ago. Reports of interest from Real Madrid have also become rarer than before.
Dortmund have made it clear, on more than one occasion, that they have no intention of agreeing any cut-price deals for their players, despite the financial implications of the Covid-19 crisis. And now, senior Man United officials have expressed a stance that they will not pay more than £50 million for the 20-year-old, with the Bundesliga side asking for at least double that amount.
The player apparently remains keen to return to England, but the gap between the valuations by the two clubs seems like an obstacle impossible to overcome at the moment.
