According to a recent report from the Independent, Manchester United are optimistic that they will be able to secure the services of RB Salzburg striker Erling Haaland. The youngster has had to deal with a great deal of speculation regarding his future, although many believe that future became much clearer when he sat down to meet with United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently.
The official terms of that meeting haven’t been made public, but it certainly seems as if the Norwegian boss is going to do everything within his power to make a deal happen.
Alas, while the Red Devils want to bring him in during the January transfer window, Salzburg have different ideas.
This is because they want to keep him on the books beyond January and until next summer’s transfer window. Their hope and belief is that he’ll commit to a few more months with the club before taking that next big step.
