Man Utd 4/9 to finish top-six ahead of tonight’s Manchester derby

Competition: Premier League
Market: Man Utd to finish top-6
Odds: 4/9 @ Ladbrokes

Despite enduring a woeful league campaign, Manchester United can salvage some pride by beating their nearest rivals tonight, which would also see them making ground on Tottenham & Everton – who currently occupy the 5th & 6th positions respectively.

Should David Moyes men beat Manchester City, they could go level on points with his former side Everton – if Newcastle see past the Toffees tonight – and they’d be just two points behind Spurs.

With eight games of the league season left, Ladbrokes are backing the Premier League holders to finish in the top-6 with odds of 4/9. They come into tonight’s clash with back-to-back wins over Olympiakos & West Ham.

While the season has been a disaster in their attempts to retain the title, Manchester United would still be pleased if they could finish in a Europa League place (5th), and a top-6 finish does appear likely anyway.

But tonight, they come up against the side who put four goals past them at the Etihad stadium earlier this season -while having also thrashed Tottenham (6-0 & 5-1), Arsenal (6-3), Newcastle (4-0), Norwich (7-0), and Fulham (5-0).

Can they boost their top-6 aspirations with a huge morale victory tonight against their ‘noisy neighbours’ at Old Trafford?
