French newspaper L’Equipe has revealed that Manchester United and Chelsea are tracking Saint Etienne defender Kurt Zouma.
The two Premier League sides had the player watched as Saint Etienne was beaten by Toulouse last night with a view to making an official bid.
The talented stopper played full 90 minutes at Stade Municipal but couldn’t prevent defeat for his side.
L’Equipe claims Manchester City are another club showing interest in the 17-year-old defender.
The France Under-19 international is already considered a first team regular at Stade Geoffroy Guichard and has so far amassed 23 Ligue 1 appearances for les Verts, scoring two goals in the process.
Zouma is widely regarded as one of world’s most talented centre-backs, so no wonder he is attracting attention from top European clubs.
Saint Etienne chiefs are desperate to hold on to their prized asset for few more years and they are not willing to negotiate the sale at the moment.
