Portuguese media outlet A Bola understands that Manchester United and FC Porto are readying moves for Sporting Braga hotshot Rafa Silva.
The 22-year-old is widely regarded as one of Primeira Liga’s leading stars and he is almost certain to leave his current employers for greener pastures in the summer.
Sporting Braga have been referring interested sides to his €20 million release clause, but FC Porto now plan to try and lower the asking price.
The Dragons are keen on luring the Portugal international to Estadio do Dragao in the summer transfer window, but do not seem prepared to match Braga’s valuation of the player.
Rafa Silva has been in excellent form this season, having managed 9 goals and 8 assists in 40 competitive outings, and he was in the starting line-up as Portugal suffered an embarrassing defeat to Bulgaria on Friday, meaning he is likely to make the Euro 2016 squad.
