Manchester Evening News is reporting that Manchester United and Real Madrid are in talks over Welsh forward Gareth Bale.
The Red Devils are keen on luring the former Spurs star to Old Trafford and los Blancos seem ready to do business.
The two clubs held a meeting recently to discuss a number of footballers including Paul Pogba, David De Gea and Anthony Martial.
Manchester United were offered the right of first refusal on Bale, who has struggled for playing time under Zinedine Zidane of late.
The Welshman managed a total of 65 goals in 120 La Liga outings since joining Real Madrid from Tottenham some five years ago.
