Manchester United are reportedly hot on the trail of Fiorentina starlet Federico Bernardeschi, according to La Nazione.
The talented winger has been in fine form this season and he appears to have nailed down a regular starting berth at Artemio Franchi.
Having also broken into the Italy national team, Bernardeschi is now being linked with a big club move.
La Nazione has learned that Manchester United are in pole position to recruit the 22-year-old midfielder, having offered €28 million for his services.
After showing some promise in the second part of the current season, the Red Devils want to continue the uptrend in fortunes and they are widely expected to reinforce the squad in the summer.
Bernardeschi could be the first of many players to arrive at Old Trafford in the summer transfer window, although it remains to be seen whether Fiorentina will be prepared to let their star player leave.
