Man Utd chasing Portuguese midfielder

Manchester United are reportedly ready to make a move for Zenit St Petersburg’s Portuguese midfielder Danny in January.

IMScouting reports that United may be ready to splash out around £15million for the 27-year-old attacking midfielder.

The Portuguese midfielder’s current contract with Russian side Zenit is set to expire in the summer of 2012.

United are looking to bring in midfield players, as they are in search for players who could manage to replace legends such as Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs.

Both Scholes and Giggs could decide to retire at the end of the season.
