Portuguese media outlet O Jogo has learned that Manchester United are close to reaching an agreement with Benfica for talented midfielder Renato Sanches.
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a meteoric rise this season and everything suggests he will be leaving the Eagles after just one year in the senior side.
It is no secret that Manchester United are in pole position to secure his signature and they are already working on the summer deal.
According to O Jogo, Benfica chairman Luis Filipe Vieira, agent Jorge Mendes and Manchester United officials met in Manchester earlier this week to sort out the final details of the transfer.
This is enough to suggest that Sanches will be moving to Old Trafford at the end of the current campaign, although he will probably first play for Portugal at the Euro 2016 finals.
The central midfielder has scored 2 goals in 22 league outings, while starting six Champions League fixtures.
