Premier League giants Manchester United are keen on Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, according to AS.
The Red Devils are still in the market for David De Gea’s successor, and they appear to have made the Slovenia hotshot their number one target.
AS has learned that Manchester United enquired about the possibility of signing Jan Oblak, but have been referred to the player’s €45 million release clause.
The Red Devils are expected to earn around €35 million from the sale of David De Gea, and they will probably attempt to lower the asking price for the Atletico starlet.
Jan Oblak had a slow start to his career at Vicente Calderon, but largely impressed in the second part of the season after taking over from Miguel Angel Moya.
The 22-year-old is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most talented goalkeepers and it remains to be seen whether Atletico can hold on to his services.
