Premier League giants Manchester United are weighing up January bid for Benfica full-back Nelson Semedo, A Bola can reveal.
The Red Devils have all but agreed to sign Swedish defender Victor Nilsson Lindelof for a fee of around €45 million that could rise to €60 million based on performance related bonuses.
And it appears that Manchester United chiefs took advantage of the meeting with Benfica chairman Luis Filipe Vieira to also negotiate the potential purchase of Nelson Semedo.
The Eagles are obviously not too keen on selling two high-profile defenders in the upcoming transfer window, but the Red Devils are ready to allow the youngster to finish the season at Estadio da Luz.
Nelson Semedo has quickly develop into one of Europe’s most talented right-sided defenders and he has been virtually ever present for Benfica this term, making a total of 22 appearances in all competitions entered.
