Man Utd, Liverpool eyeing Monaco defender

Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool are among clubs hot on the trail of Monaco centre-back Aymen Abdennour.

The Tunisian has enjoyed a very successful season with the Principality club and he could leave Stade Louis II for greener pastures this summer.

Top clubs from Italy and England have shown interest in his services, but it is believed that the 25-year-old prefers English Premier League.

According to L’Equipe, the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool are keen on the defender’s services, and could offer up to €30 million to purchase his contract.

And while Monaco would prefer to keep hold of their prized asset, they are ready to consider any serious offer.

Aymen Abdennour signed a permanent deal with the Principality club following a successful loan spell, and he has made a total of 24 league appearances for the club, but it looks as though he could be leaving as early as this summer.
