Manchester United are stepping up their efforts to sign French forward Moussa Dembele from Celtic, the Daily Mail can reveal.
The Red Devils scout David Friio watched the youngster in action as he scored two goals for France Under-21 side against England, which is enough to suggest Man Utd are seriously thinking about luring the 20-year-old to Old Trafford in the near future.
Current manager Jose Mourinho is believed to have watched Dembele three times even before he made a switch to Celtic and he has since been impressed with his performances for the Bhoys.
The Portuguese manager believes the Frenchman can be just as good as Didier Drogba and is keen to add the forward to his attacking options at Old Trafford.
Moussa Dembele has enjoyed an excellent start to his career in Scotland, bagging no fewer than 16 goals in his first 24 appearances for the club.
