Spanish media outlet Onda Cero has suggested that Real Madrid are planning a fresh assault on Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.
It is no secret that los Blancos want the Spain number one to replace Keylor Navas at Santiago Bernabeu, but the Red Devils have so far refused to sell.
Nevertheless, it is believed that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has informed his former club that he is now prepared to negotiate De Gea’s sale.
The Portuguese manager has set his sights on Alvaro Morata and he will attempt to include the talented forward in the deal.
With Man Utd struggling to challenge for major honours, there is a good chance De Gea will be interested in returning to Spain, and the fact he used to play for Atletico Madrid is unlikely to prove a major issue.
The local rivals will soon square off in the Champions League semi-finals, with Real Madrid 4/7 favourites to go through.
