The Telegraph is reporting that West Brom plan to make Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin their most expensive signing.
The Baggies have submitted an £18 million proposal for the Frenchman as they are eager to bring him to the Hawthorns in the January transfer window.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman hopes to get reunited with Schneiderlin at Goodison Park, but West Brom appear to have moved front of the queue for the 27-year-old footballer.
While making 29 Premier League outings last term, the Frenchman has had a nightmare campaign under Jose Mourinho, making just three substitute appearances in the Premiership this term.
The Portuguese manager recently admitted he was ready to offload Schneiderlin, and it looks as though the highly rated midfielder will be staying in England.
Having enjoyed several very successful seasons with Southampton before moving to Old Trafford, the France international will generate plenty of interest in the January window.
