A Bola is reporting that Manchester United are ready to offer €45 million for Benfica defender Victor Lindelof.
The Red Devils came close to signing the Swedish centre-back in the January window, but the Eagles ultimately decided to hold on to their prized asset until the end of the season.
Benfica chairman Luis Filipe Vieira is again negotiating with the Premier League side and he is not backing down on the €60 million asking price.
Manchester United, on the other hand, are prepared to offer around €45 million, so it remains to be seen whether the two clubs will be able to find common ground.
Victor Lindelof became one of Europe’s most sought-after stoppers quickly after he was given a chance to shine at Estadio da Luz, and he has been in fine form this season, starting 29 Primeira Liga fixtures and scoring one goal in the process.
