Manchester United are looking to trim down the playing squad after landing Paul Pogba, The Telegraph has suggested.
The Red Devils completed a record £89 million deal for the French midfielder last night and now it’s time to get rid of some dead weight.
It appears that Bastian Schweinsteiger and Juan Manuel Mata will be the first to leave Old Trafford as they are not in the first team plans of Jose Mourinho.
While the German midfielder was relegated to the reserves, the Spaniard was shown a complete lack of respect as Jose Mourinho subbed him off after Mata had entered the pitch as a second half substitute.
At the same time, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind will also be allowed to leave, while the likes of McNair, Wilson, Pereira, Keane and Borthwick-Jackson will be farmed out on loan.
Mourinho also plans to recruit another central defender, who would challenge Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly for a starting berth together with Phil Jones.
