Spanish media outlet Cadena SER understands that Manchester United are set to complete the signing of striker Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.
The player’s agent yesterday confirmed the Red Devils have made a ‘very important’ bid for his client, and it appears the transfer will soon be wrapped up.
According to Cadena SER, the two sides have all but agreed on a transfer fee, believed to be around €80 million.
As a result, the striker will soon put pen to paper on a long-term deal worth €8 million per season, becoming one of club’s highest paid footballers.
Morata arrives at Old Trafford as a long-term successor to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was allowed to leave the club as his contract came to an end.
The Red Devils have also secured the signature of Swedish stopper Victor Lindelof, and they look set to make few more high-profile signings.
