Portuguese media outlet Record understands that Manchester United have made another check on Benfica starlets Alex Grimaldo and Goncalo Guedes.
The Red Devils scouts were present as Benfica faced Belenenses on Sunday, and they must have been happy with the talent on display as the duo combined for the Eagles’ second goal.
It was former Barcelona full-back Alex Grimaldo who got on the scoresheet, proving he can be dangerous up front as well.
The talented defender decided to join Benfica in January 2016 after rejecting a new deal at Camp Nou and he has quickly caught the eye of Europe’s top sides, with Man City also keen on his services.
Meanwhile, Goncalo Guedes is the product of Benfica’s famous youth academy, and he, too, has a long list of admirers.
The forward has managed 2 goals and 4 assists in 12 competitive fixtures this season and he is predicted a bright future in the game.
