Market: Van Persie to leave Man Utd

Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie has been linked with a move away from the side all season, and Coral are giving odds of 7/4 for the Dutch international to exit Old Trafford in the summer.
Reports had suggested he was unhappy with former manager Sir Alex Ferguson retiring at the end of last season, and it’s clear he isn’t adapting to new manager David Moyes’ style. Although he has scored 11 goals in 17 games, his overall performances have been below par for a player of his quality, and he hasn’t been working too well with strike-partner Wayne Rooney in games.
His next destination is up in the air as a return to Arsenal was mentioned, although it’s highly unlikely United would sell back to the club they had signed him off – especially considering Arsenal are going to be a title rival next season.
Injuries have hampered his second season at Old Trafford, and coupled with his advancing age there’s little value in Manchester United pursuing with a player underperforming. Could he leave?
