Competition: Premier League
Market: Newcastle to finish in the bottom-half
Odds: 4/7 @ Bet 365
Newcastle have struggled for form since former manager Alan Pardew left the North-East club to take charge of Crystal Palace, and it threatens to ruin the Magpies season as a result, The 53-year-old left Newcastle in 9th place when making the move to Selhurst Park, but with no win in three Premier League games, United have slipped out of the top-half altogether.
The Toon Army even suffered elimination in the FA Cup to bottom-of-the-table Leicester City, and their managing director has admitted a new boss could take until the summer to be appointed. So Newcastle aren’t in the best shape of late, which is leading Bet 365 to give odds of 4/7 for United to end the season in the bottom-half of the table.
They could be losing one or two key players before the January transfer window shuts, and the uncertainty in the camp won’t help matters. No win from four since Pardew’s exit tells its own story, and the sooner Newcastle can get some stability back the more chance they have of a strong finish to the campaign.
