Odds: 1/3 @ 888 Sport

Manchester City host Hull City in the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night, and are big favourites to progress to the semi-finals.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini has been taking the competition seriously this season, and could well be winning his second League Cup in two years after their triumph in 2014. Hull City won’t give up without a fight, however, and are sure to make life hard for the Sky Blues.

Manchester City are in contention of winning the Premier League while opponents Hull City are in contention of winning the Championship. The two sides have been used to winning for the large part, but the gulf on class could prove to be too much for Hull.

Steve Bruce’s side have of course square off with the Sky Blues in the past, but have a daunting task to get a result at the Etihad Stadium.

The Tigers are coming off the back of dropped points from their last two games in their domestic league too, so the timing isn’t ideal for such an important cup game. Hull don’t have any pressure on their shoulders, but won’t want to just make up the numbers.

They have already beaten Swansea City and Leicester City to make it this far, and will take some confidence from the fact their opposition have lost at home twice this season.

Manchester City certainly aren’t invincible, and have come unstuck twice at the Etihad in the Premier League. Hull City are sure to give them scares, but won’t be able to keep the Sky Blues quiet for the entire match.
