Manchester City welcome Shakhtar Donetsk to the Etihad Stadium in their second Group F game of the Champions League campaign on Tuesday evening, and are favourites to pick up all three points on home soil given their fantastic form this season.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side are currently top of Group F with three points from their first game in the competition, beating Dutch Eredivisie outfit Feyenoord 4-0 away in their opener.
City are coming off the back of six consecutive wins in all competitions ahead of their meeting with Shakhtar, scoring 20 goals in their last five games, and should have enough on the night as a result.
As for the visitors, Paulo Fonseca’s Shakhtar Donetsk side find themselves second in Group F with three points, impressively beating Napoli in their opening outing.
The Ukrainian club have been in good form of late too, boasting four wins and a draw from their last five in all competitions, but the firepower of City might be too much at the Etihad.
