Competition: Capital One Cup
Market: Man City to retain the trophy
Odds: 2/1 @ Coral
Manchester City put seven goals past the hapless Sheffield Wednesday last night in the Capital One Cup third round, and manager Manuel Pellegrini talked up his side’s prospects of going all the way again. The Sky Blues won the Capital One Cup last season, beating Sunderland in the final with memorable goals scored from both sides at Wembley.
Pellegrini named an incredibly strong lineup for their game against the Owls, and while they took 45 minutes to finally click into gear, they ended up demolishing the Championship side. Chelsea are seen as City’s biggest threat to retaining the Capital One Cup, as Jose Mourinho’s side is very strong too, and have picked up seven points in their last three league meetings.
Nevertheless, Coral are giving odds of 2/1 for Manchester City to retain their Capital One Cup, with the Sky Blues boasting so much fire power that they shouldn’t be a match for any side on their day.
Bet: Manchester City to retain the Capital One Cup following last night’s thrashing of Sheffield Wednesday @ 2/1 with Coral >>
