Manchester City will be confident of getting a result against Burnley today, which could well see the Sky Blues go level on points with Premier League leaders Chelsea. Manuel Pellegrini’s side are three points behind the Londoners ahead of their games today, and are in fine form too.

Seven wins on the bounce in the league has seen Manchester City within touching distance of the top spot, while third placed Manchester United are seven points adrift of City too. Burnley are currently in the relegation zone at the mid-point to the season, and have only won once away from home.

Sean Dyche’s side have lost three of their last four games in the Premier League, and come up against a Manchester City side who haven’t lost at the Etihad stadium since August. It’s a big ask for them to get a result, but with the Clarets facing the possibility of being four points adrift of safety if results go against them, Burnley need a result.

However, Ladbrokes are backing the hosts for a comfortable win, giving odds of 2/11 for Manchester City to earn their eight consecutive league victory.
