Manchester City travel to Goodison Park this evening for the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final clash with Everton, and are big favourites to come away with an aggregate lead to take to the second leg at the Etihad Stadium later this month. City beat Everton earlier in the season too, and they’re in better form than their opposition.

Having won two and drawn one of their last three Premier League games, City are in good shape to get a result in Merseyside tonight. They comfortably dispatched of the likes of Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Hull City to make it this far so Everton will be very wary of the Sky Blues.

The home side are enduring a difficult run of form of late too. Everton have been conceding far too many goals in the Premier League, and their form on home soil is a real worry. The Toffees have failed to win their last four games in their own backyard, which gives City confidence of getting a result today.
