Manchester City welcome Stoke City to the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League tonight, and are big favourites to pick up all three points to go second in the table and eight points behind leaders Chelsea with 11 games to go this season. Stoke haven’t been in bad form but haven’t managed a win against a top-four club in 2016/17, and their poor away form suggests they could come unstuck again.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side are currently third in the Premier League table with 55 points from 26 games, having won four on the bounce ahead of the visit of Stoke City. The Sky Blues have been formidable on home soil too, boasting four wins and a draw from their last five at the Etihad Stadium, and should have enough to beat a Stoke side who can’t stop losing on the road.
As for the visitors, Mark Hughes’ Stoke City side find themselves ninth in the division with 35 points from 27 games, coming off the back of two wins from their last three. The Potters have been woeful on the road, however, suffering five defeats from their last six away outings, and Bet 365 are giving odds of 2/9 for Manchester City to see past Stoke City this evening as a result.
