fooball-betting-tips-newsPremier League strugglers West Ham will attempt to save some pride when they host Manchester City in the second leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final clash.

Having lost the first leg 6-0 at Etihad, the Hammers should be very motivated to prove all the doubters wrong and try to record a morale-boosting result ahead of some decisive battles in the Premiership.

And with Sam Allarydce likely to field a very strong line-up unlike his counterpart, there may be some value in backing West Ham with +1.5 Asian handicap at 4/6.

Big Sam will have Kevin Nolan and James Tomkins back from suspension, whereas Ricardo Vaz Te could make a long-awaited return from injury.

Having already secured their place in the Capital One Cup final, Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini will use the game at Boleyn Ground to rest some of his star men, but even his back-up players can be trusted to make life difficult for the Hammers.

The Citizens are 4/9 to record another victory as online bookmakers seem to believe even their second-string line-up is too strong for West Ham.

Sergio Aguero looks set to start in an attempt to build match fitness, whereas Stevan Jovetic and Jack Rodwell could both return into action.

The likes of Nastasic, Lescott, Milner and Clichy are all likely to be drafted into the starting line-up as a number of regular starters will be given a breather.
