Market: Manchester City to beat Liverpool

Odds: 7/5 @ Bet365

Liverpool this week welcome Manchester City to Anfield looking to reach the Champions League semi-finals for the first time in a decade.

For Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side, the Reds moved one step closer to book their spot in next years Champions League after a late come back saw them leave Selhurst Park with all three points on Saturday afternoon. Still the only team to beat Manchester City in the Premier League this year, Liverpool will be hoping that talisman and leading goal scorer Mohammed Salah can continue his fine run of form, the Egyptian now has 12 goals in his last 10 appearances in all competitions, including five in his last two. After coming through Porto 5-0 in the Last 16, Klopp’s side are also yet to lose any of their eight matches in this seasons Champions League.

As for Manchester City, aside from their minor slip up to their hosts over Christmas, there has been no signs of Pep Guardiola’s side slowing down as they are now just one game from lifting the Premier League title. Putting on another eye-catching performance away at Everton on Saturday evening, the Sky Blues have now scored 24 in the last 10 matches away from the Etihad and have scored 13 more goals than any side in the Premier League this season. Like Liverpool, City also breezed through Group F, before putting five past Basel in the last 16.
