Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign 17-year-old Kayky from Fluminense, according to Fabrizio Romano.
It had been reported back in February that the Premier League leaders were closing in on the agreement, leading the race ahead of several Spanish clubs. City will pay Fluminense a base fee of €10 million for the Brazilian talent, with potential add-ons on top of that and a percentage of any sale of the player in the future. Kayky will join City in the summer of 2022, after he turns 18 and signs a contract set to bind him to the club for five years.
The versatile young attacker, playing predominantly as a right winger, played in six matches this year, scoring two goals and assisting once.
Talks between City and Flumininse are ongoing to include Metinho, a midfielder about to turn 18 this month, into the deal as well. The fee for his services will amount to around €5m initially, with add-ons to come on top of that.
