Manchester City closing in on Ederson

Premier League heavyweights Manchester City look set to announce their second summer signing already as Pep Guardiola plans to do the majority of transfer-related activities early on and then use the summer to prepare his team the best way he can for next season.

Having missed out on trophies for the first time in his managerial career, former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager is determined to get back to winning and has already wrapped up a high-profile signing of AS Monaco star Bernardo Silva.

Only days afterwards, Manchester City are closing in on Benfica goalkeeper Ederson Moraes, who is set to become the record transfer as far as goalkeepers are concerned with Manchester City prepared to splash out £34.9 million for the Brazilian.

Sky Sports reports early on Monday that the two clubs have made an agreement over the summer deal for Ederson, who is due in Manchester today for personal talks with the Citizens and medicals on Tuesday.
