Manchester City cool Alli interest.

The Mail Online understands that Manchester City will not pursue their interest in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli this summer.

Pep Guardiola is a big admirer of the twenty-one year old, who was named the PFA Young Player of the Year at the weekend and is keen to add some home-grown talent to his squad though he is set to look elsewhere.

Alli broke into the Spurs’ first team last season having signed from Milton Keynes Dons, racking up forty-four appearances in all competitions, scoring ten goals.

This campaign, he has already played two more games and scored twice as many goals while he has been capped seventeen times by his country, scoring twice.

Alli played as Mauricio Pochettino’s men edged past Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Wednesday evening to keep the gap between themselves at leaders Chelsea at just four points.

With just five games to play, Tottenham can currently be backed at 7/1 to win the title.
