Manchester City are interested in signing Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan in the summer of 2021, according to FcInterNews. It has been reported that the former Premier League champions have openly expressed their interest in securing the services of the ex-Manchester United and Chelsea striker.
However, according to the report in the Italian news outlet, Inter do not want to sell the 27-year-old, with head coach Antonio Conte considering the striker as an essential player in his team. According to WhoScored, Lukaku has scored 20 goals and provided eight assists in Serie A for Antonio Conte’s side so far this season.
Sergio Aguero will leave City at the end of the season, while Gabriel Jesus remains a capable striker, the Brazilian is not at the level of Lukaku yet. However, the problem that the Citizens could face in attracting the Belgium international striker to the Etihad Stadium is that he is a former United player.
