Manchester City are considering making a British record move for Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, according to the Mirror.
The Belgium international spent the last eighteen months with the Bundesliga side, having moved from Chelsea in last January.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, the twenty-four year old made just nine appearances in all competitions, after spending a the 2012/13 campaign on loan at Werder Bremen.
He has been capped thirty times for his country, with four of those games coming at last summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini has been busy in the transfer market, having signed England international duo Raheem Sterling and Fabian Delph while they have also agreed deals for youngsters Patrick Roberts and Enes Onal.
Having finished eight points behind Champions Chelsea last season, the Citizens can be backed at a price of 11/4 to reclaim the title next May.
