Manchester City are interested in signing Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan in the January transfer window, according to The Athletic. It has been reported that the former Premier League champions are looking for a new striker, with Sergio Aguero now 32 and having injury problems and Gabriel Jesus still developing at 23.
Lukaku is one of the strikers that City are reportedly considering making a move for when the transfer window opens at the end of the season. The Belgium international is one of the best strikers in the world and has been a huge success in Italy. According to WhoScored, the 27-year-old has scored 14 goals and provided three assists in Serie A so far this season, and scored 23 goals and have two assists in the league in 2019-20.
However, City could face a potential problem in tempting Lukeku to the Etihad Stadium. The former Chelsea striker played for the Citizens’ city rivals Manchester United and may not want to play for them.
