Manchester City are considering a move for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, according to the Mirror.
The 21 year old has hit eighteen goals in all competitions so far this season, and his form saw him receive his first England call up back in November though he was an unused substitute in both the Euro 2016 qualifying victory over Slovenia and the friendly win over Scotland three days later.
City are on the lookout for home-grown players as they look to fill their quota for next season, and have also been linked with Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling and Danny Rose of Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs, Liverpool and Manchester United are also monitoring Berahino’s situation, and while Baggies boss Tony Pulis would be reluctant to lose his prize asset, he may consider doing business at the right price as he looks to raise funds to strengthen his squad for next season.
