Manchester City eyeing England duo

Manchester City are eyeing moves for England duo Jack Wilshere and Jordan Henderson, according to the Mail Online.

The Premier League champions are aware that they need to bring in more English players this season, with goalkeeper Joe Hart often being the only one in their starting line-up this season.

They also currently have Frank Lampard and James Milner in their ranks, but the former will move to the MLS in the summer and the latter could follow him out of the Etihad Stadium exit door.

Henderson has emerged as a target for City as he approaches the final year of his contract at Anfield, while Wilshere has two years left on his current deal with the Gunners.

Should Wilshere make the switch, he would become the latest in a long line of players to swap the Emirates Stadium for the Etihad, following Samir Nasri, Bacary Sagna, and Emmanuel Adebayor, Kolo Toure and Gael Clichy.
