Manchester City beat Arsenal by 1-0 on Saturday, courtesy of a 23rd-minute striker by Raheem Sterling.
One of the moments that caught the eye in this game was in the 42nd minute when Sergio Aguero, clearly unhappy with the decision that had just been made, put his hand on lineswoman Sian Massey-Ellis.
The incident prompted a strong public reaction, with many pointing out that players are not allowed to touch officials, as well as asking if the Argentinian would have done the same if the official had been male.
Speaking after the game, City boss Pep Guardiola defended his striker.
“Come on guys. Sergio is the nicest person I ever met in my life. Look for problems in other situations not in this one”, he said.
