Manchester City are in talks with Ruben Dias over a new contract, according to The Sun. The Portugal international central defender helped Pep Guardiola’s side win the Premier League title last season and also helped them reach the final of the Champions League.
Dias joined City from Portuguese giants Benfica only last summer. The 24-year-old made 32 appearances in the Premier League for City last season, scoring one goal in the process. The Portugal international also played 11 times in the Champions League for the Citizens in 2020-21.
The Portuguese earns £90,000 per week as salary at City now, but the Premier League champions are already in talks to improve his wage. City are also looking to add an extra year to his current deal, which will see him stay at the Etihad Stadium until the end of the 2026-27 season.
