Manchester City join chase for Reus

German daily newspaper Bild understands that Manchester City are the latest high-profile club to have joined the race for Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus.

The Germany international has a clause in his contract allowing him to depart for €25 million next summer, and everything suggests he will be leaving Signal-Iduna Park for greener pastures at the end of the current campaign.

And while Bayern Munich have confirmed they are keen on Reus, the Bavarians could face a stiff competition from Premier League giants Manchester City.

The Citizens aim to lure the attacker to Etihad with a lucrative contract offer that would see his current salary of €5 million per year significantly increased.

Marco Reus, 25, has been in scintillating form since joining from Borussia M’gladbach, bagging 32 goals in 67 Bundesliga outings.

He missed the 2014 World Cup through injury, but has already earned 23 Germany caps and scored 7 goals.
